In the selfie generation everyone wants to be seen and heard to inspire and influence - at least that's what I hope the rest of the world wants.
Probably one of things that have irked me most is how people rarely take you seriously as professional when you post photos of yourself online. I'm a photo journalist, but first and foremost, I am a girl and I am young. Wether it be for reasons of vanity, search for approval and praise, or just to share to the general public what one ate for dinner the other day, it shouldn't over shadow talent or one's work ethic.
So what's a girl to do? Post really awesome selfies! Yay, for the self-timer! Just be yourself and do what makes you happy (think first about the repercussions, of course), if it doesn't harm or hurt anyone, why not? Be creative, be young, be fun!
