S-21 GENOCIDE MUSEUM | PHNOM PENH

Welcome
to Cambodia.
Some people choose to spend their first day in the Kingdom of
Wonder amongst the majestic temples of Angkor, I chose to spend mine in the
walls of S-21. Two years has passed since then and I'm still at loss for words
to describe the experience. Cambodia's fragmented beauty stems from the
ugliness of places like this.
Albeit
a reminder of the dark days that descended upon the country, the genocide
museum is a presentation of strength, courage, and resilience the nation
possesses - it is both beautiful and tragic. The city I used to call my own is
undergoing a great moment; it is slowly, but steadily, moving forward.
